Samuel Adams White Ale
Beer #4 of the Samual Adams Winter Classics Variety Pack! I'm enjoying the Samuel Adams White Ale. At first taste this is much like an Unfiltered Wheat Beer. It reminds me of one of my favorites, Boulevard Wheat. At the beginning it is somewhat non-descript, but quickly I pick up some citrus (lemon and orange peel) at mid-pallet. At the end and back of the mouth it shows a slightly sour taste, probably from the yeast that is used in brewing.

From the Samuel Adams site it describes the spices as:
The spice blend includes orange and lemon peel, dried plum, grains of paradise, coriander, anise, hibiscus, rose hips, tamarind, and vanilla.
This ale is very refreshing, not over powering and quite drinkable. I'm not sure it is remarkable or memorable, but I would gladly drink it on any occassion. I would rate this three stars out of five.
